Evaluation of final piece

I like to think my final piece was successful but it did have its qualities and downfalls.
The use of the blue screen allowed me to add the artificial background which was an image of Big Ben I like to think this made my news report have a more realistic feel to my film than just having a neutral background.
The animated banner I used also added to my piece as in programs such as the BBC news they always have them to update consumers on the latest news I think this added even further to the realism of my piece.
The logo in the top right hand corner allowed me to anchor what was actually happening in those shots as it said BBC NEWS in contrasting colours with a red and white and I think this was effective for both my piece and the audiences understanding.

However elements of my film were not so successful such as the recurring issue of the quality of the news reporter, With a thin blue line around him due to the blue screen it shown him completely separate from the background and the video quality was the greatest issue because you could not see clear movements of his face and this could lead to misinterpretation of words (when most people speak depending on mood/message to be passed across there is an addition of non verbal communication this can often be facial features e.g tensing of eyes lip positioning etc. etc.) so if the character isn't clearly defined the wrong message can be passed across
